Research notes
Local gig platform for collecting packages at a Fetch facility and delivering to apartment residents in selectable blocks, typically 2–3 hours; not an OTR carrier or a guaranteed dedicated-route contract. The official service-partner page links to package-delivery opportunities across available locations. As a checked example, the North Charleston cargo posting accepts cargo vehicles, box trucks, minivans and pickups. It requires a smartphone, license, insurance, own assisted lifting tools such as a dolly or wagon, handling 70–150 pounds with proper equipment, and oversized-package delivery up to four flights of stairs. Pickup loads must be protected from weather, theft and falling out. Truck length, liftgate, helper/crew, authority age, insurance limits and availability outside the verified cargo market remain unconfirmed. Fetch’s wider company footprint is not a list of open cargo routes. Source checked means official equipment eligibility and the initial application route were reviewed; later onboarding and submission were not tested. Acceptance, available blocks, earnings and payment reliability are not guaranteed.
