Research notes
Official expedited owner-operator program explicitly accepts straight trucks with a DOT-compliant sleeper berth. Published minimums include age 23+, Class A or B CDL, hazmat endorsement and six months of verifiable OTR experience, plus driving-history and safety review. This listing is for leasing onto Landstar, not general independent-carrier registration. Day-cab non-CDL box trucks do not meet the published program requirements. Landstar also has a separate approved-carrier route at https://www.landstar.com/the-landstar-network/carriers/; confirm straight-truck eligibility there directly. Approval and freight are not guaranteed.
